Jessica and Jesse first worked together as a team at the Salt Lake Legal Defender Association (LDA). After her time at LDA, Jessica expanded her legal expertise by transitioning into family law, and later gained invaluable insider experience as a Jail Operations and Release Expert at the Salt Lake County Jail. In this role, she interpreted complex court orders, processed bail and releases, and safeguarded detainees’ constitutional rights. This unique background means Jessica knows exactly how the jail and court systems operate from the inside out—a massive advantage for clients navigating the complexities of a criminal case.

Now, Jessica and Jesse have reunited at Nix Law to form an unstoppable team. As the firm’s Executive Assistant, Jessica is the vital backbone of the practice. She directs all day-to-day business operations — from client onboarding and scheduling, to financial administration and firm logistics. Because Jessica expertly handles the business side of the firm, Jesse dedicates 100% of his focus to fighting for his clients in the courtroom.
